About Dorothy Hodgkin

British chemist who won the 1964 Nobel Prize in Chemistry for pioneering work using X-ray crystallography to determine the structures of penicillin, vitamin B12, and insulin. The only British woman scientist to win a Nobel Prize, Hodgkin worked for decades despite severe rheumatoid arthritis that eventually confined her to a wheelchair.

Dorothy Hodgkin the Taurus

Taurus is the zodiac's steady hand. A fixed earth sign ruled by Venus, Taurus builds: slowly, deliberately, and to last. There's an unhurried quality here that can read as slowness from the outside and feels, from the inside, simply like refusing to be rushed into something that isn't right yet.
