Sun in AquariusAbout Ernest Shackleton
Anglo-Irish Antarctic explorer who led the legendary Endurance expedition of 1914-1916, saving all 27 of his men after their ship was crushed by pack ice. His incredible open-boat journey across 800 miles of the Southern Ocean to South Georgia remains one of the greatest feats of navigation. He is celebrated as a model of leadership under extreme adversity.
Ernest Shackleton the Aquarius
Aquarius thinks sideways. A fixed air sign ruled traditionally by Saturn and modernly by Uranus, Aquarius holds the structure and the disruption at once: systems-minded enough to see how a thing actually works, contrary enough to ask why it should work that way at all. The result is a sign that is genuinely, unperformatively original.
