About Frederick Douglass

American social reformer, abolitionist, orator, writer, and statesman who escaped from slavery and became a national leader of the abolitionist movement. His autobiographies are considered among the finest examples of the slave narrative genre. He was the most photographed American of the 19th century and served in several government positions.

Frederick Douglass the Aquarius

Aquarius thinks sideways. A fixed air sign ruled traditionally by Saturn and modernly by Uranus, Aquarius holds the structure and the disruption at once: systems-minded enough to see how a thing actually works, contrary enough to ask why it should work that way at all. The result is a sign that is genuinely, unperformatively original.
