Sun in AquariusAbout Takashi Murakami
Japanese artist who blurred the line between high art and pop culture with his Superflat movement and Louis Vuitton collaborations.
Takashi Murakami the Aquarius
Aquarius thinks sideways. A fixed air sign ruled traditionally by Saturn and modernly by Uranus, Aquarius holds the structure and the disruption at once: systems-minded enough to see how a thing actually works, contrary enough to ask why it should work that way at all. The result is a sign that is genuinely, unperformatively original.
In Chinese astrology
Takashi Murakami is a Metal Ox in the Chinese zodiac.
